The BryanLGH College of Health Sciences has received formal notification from the Higher Learning Commission that it voted to extend its accreditation to include the Bachelor of Science degree in Health Professions and a Bachelor of Science degree completion option in Health Professions. The approval is effective immediately.
"Offering a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Professions will provide several educational avenues not previously available to students," said Diane Kathol, Dean of Health Professions.
Students accepted into one of the Health Professions programs offered at BryanLGH College of Health Sciences now may choose a baccalaureate program as well as the associate degree programs already offered. Plus, alumni who have previously earned an associate degree from BryanLGH College of Health Sciences may now choose a completion option to earn their BS in Health Professions.
Graduates from other regionally accredited colleges who have earned an associate degree or higher in any healthcare field may now earn a BS in Health Professions at BryanLGH College of Health Sciences, as well, Kathol noted.
"We are very excited about this new opportunity," she said.
